This bird was seen in the Gunung Leuser National Parc in Sumatra, Indonesia. / January 2012  Note the eyelashes ....   The hornbill tears open the decaying wood with something to eat in mind .... -   ... - and got the reward - an alledged toxic scolopender at the size of a finger, which does not seem to bother the bird at all.
