28.02.10: Some 11 different subspecies of Leopardcat are described from different areas and islands all over SE Asia and all the way to Manchuria in northern China and to an isilated japanese island.. These pictures show animals from Chiang Mai Zoo, Thailand.
I have seen the species only once in the wild - but it was the Prionailurus bengalensis borneoensis on a night-safari in the jungle in Borneo 4 years ago. Back then I didn't manage to get a picture of it.
